Diocese of East Anglia’s Cathedral advertises LGBT group in Sunday newsletter causing anger and confusion among parishioners

The Sunday newsletter of  the Diocese of East Anglia’s cathedral has advertised a meeting of the University of East Anglia’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Faith Group causing anger and confusion among parishioners.

Between the item on the Taize Lenten Prayer Group around the Cross and the one on soup and bread after the Stations of the Cross St John the Baptist’s newsletter carries the notice:
‘UEA LGBT & Faith Group – Everyone welcome, regardless of faith. 5pm Monday 18th March, room 1.33, Union House, UEA campus. Snacks provided, chat over meal afterwards.’
Protect the Pope been informed that there is considerable anger and confusion among some parishioners about the inclusion of this pro-LGBT item in St John’s weekly bulletin.
Protect the Pope comment:  Protect the Pope believes that university students have the right to belong to whatever group they want, but what is a Catholic Cathedral doing promoting a group that encourages active homosexual and bisexual lifestyles? The Diocese of East Anglia is currently without a bishop, and appears to be going off the rails as a result. Once the new bishop is appointed he will need to look into who was responsible for advertising sexual immorality   among the parishioners of his Cathedral.
