Confusion: During a Sunday visit in a Lutheran church in Rome, Pope Francis got himself entangled in countless contradictions while answering to a question whether Lutherans were allowed to receive Communion. Sandro Magister comments: “Reaching the end of the answer, one has no clue what Francis actually wanted to say. In some instances he seems to lean toward a ‘yes’. In other moments he shields himself with his own incompetence to decide. Or he defers everything to the choices of the individuals.”

Mercy for Francis: Father George Byers has written on his blog an Open Letter to Pope Francis warning him that an attempt to preach heresy would not end well. Quote: “You will either die or be incapacitated, much as Pope Sixtus V dropped dead before he could accomplish his own will on a matter touching on marriage and divorce.” Father Byers concludes: “I am guessing that you are also subject to mercy? It is a great mercy also to be reprimanded by someone who wishes everything good for you? I ask you not to take revenge on me for trying to have mercy on you.”

Geriatric Revolution: On November 13th, radical Cardinal Kasper presented his controversial book on mercy during a meeting in Naples. The meeting bore the title “The enemies of the revolution of Pope Francis”.

Islamic Holy Year: Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin has declared that the Moslems will be included into the Holy Year of Mercy. Quote: “Mercy is also the most beautiful name of God for the Moslems. They may be involved in this Holy Year as the Pope has wished.”
