(speculative) Note concerning the use of the word "full" The place in the bible that supports the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception is the Annunciation: (Lk 1:28) "And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." "full of grace" is an absolute term. If you are full, that means 100%. Since sin is an impediment to grace, if you are full of grace, than you have no sin.
Likewise if you have a "full understanding of scripture", this indicates that one's knowledge of the bible will be 100% complete. This is infused knowledge. One of the preternatural gifts of Adam and Eve.
