An American multi-billionaire has been exposed as a major force driving the campaign to legalise the killing of unborn children in Ireland.
George Soros, through his Open Society Foundations, is pumping hundreds of thousands of euros into Ireland to promote the culture of death, operating through a number of puppet groups in the country.
Open Society, it seems, is actually coordinating the massive anti-life movement. A key element in its 2016-2019 Strategy is repeal of the 8th Amendment which affirms the right to life of the unborn child while respecting the mother’s equal right to life.

The foundations are funding Amnesty International Ireland, the Irish Family Planning Association and the so-called Abortion Rights Campaign “to work collectively” on the anti-child campaign.
These groups are, in effect, a front for the Soros campaign which sees Ireland as just one step in its global anti-life agenda.
A win in Ireland, says a leaked Open Society document, “could impact other strongly Catholic countries in Europe, such as Poland, and provide much needed proof that change is possible, even in highly conservative places.”
Published on DCLeaks.com, it linked the current drive with last year’s vote for same-sex “marriage”, arguing that that result offered “valuable and timely opportunities to advance the [abortion] campaign.”
Amnesty Ireland confirmed to the Sunday Independent that it has already received a whopping $155,000 (E137,000) from Soros over just two years.
Only two conditions were attached to the funding: “that it be used for the programme of work [the anti-life campaign] outlined in the funding application and that it be publicly reported in financial statements.”
This targetted grant helps to explain Amnesty’s fanatical campaign against the unborn child’s right to life at a time when so many genuine human rights issues call for attention.
Another puppet group, the Irish Family Planning Association, said it received $150,000 (E132,500) from the foundations.
But the Abortion Rights Campaign refused to reveal how many hundreds of thousands of dollars it or its member groups are receiving to hire activists and stage stunts, saying it would be disclosed in its financial statements.
The whole Soros anti-life ideology is based on a false understanding of female dignity and autonomy, and fosters a destructive conflict between mothers and their unborn children.
Yet apart from articles in the Sunday Independent and thejournal.ie the Irish media have ignored this extraordinary story and the arrogant attempt to pervert Irish culture, law and democracy.
So much money flooding into pro-abortion coffers enables the powerful drive that is under way at present, including various macabre stunts, to undermine the country’s protection for both unborn babies and their mothers.
It is not clear, however, why the Irish political establishment is dancing to the tune of a coterie of American anti-life multi-billionaires like Soros, Gates and Chuck Feeney.
Cora Sherlock of the Prolife Campaign pointed out that “those pushing abortion in Ireland have vast resources that they didn’t have just a few years ago. The money is not being raised from ordinary Irish citizens. That’s for sure.”
Sherlock pointed out that the funding grossly interferes with Irish democracy, but she wasn’t surprised that international pro-abortion groups are trying to impose their agenda here.
“Ireland’s excellent record of safety in pregnancy for women without recourse to abortion is a major source of embarrassment to abortion campaigners,” she said. “It completely undermines their argument that abortion somehow helps women.”
Open Society Foundations has admitted that it is interfering in more than 100 countries, applying political pressure and seeking to change their laws by providing funding for its own perverse demands dressed up as “human rights”.
The leaked document cites support for anti-child efforts in Mexico, Zambia, Nigeria, Tanzania, and other parts of Latin America and Europe.
The plan for the next three years, it says, is to to pilot strategies to “stem, mitigate and reverse the tide of fetal personhood laws and constitutional amendments.”
For this purpose it aims to create “a robust set of organisations advancing and defending sexual and reproductive rights [code for abortion] and injecting new thinking and strategy into the field.”
The Soros leak gives a glimpse of just how wealthy and powerful the global abortion racket is, and how set it is on the culture of death.
