"There is nothing positive about a Satanic Club"

Satan now has his own "after-school club" in Washington State after having been approved by the Tacoma Public School Board following a legal battle by concerned parents to keep them out.

Volunteers from the Satanic Temple of Seattle (TST) will be hosting an open house for teachers and students at Point Defiance Elementary School in Tacoma, Washington on December 14.Tacoma Public Schools spokesman Dan Voelpel is confirming that the application to use school space has been approved, and the club will meet once a month at the West End school until the end of the school year.
This marks the second after-school club of its kind, with the first being established in the solidly blue state of Oregon. The Satanic Temple has bigger plans, however, and seeks to launch in nine more schools across the country.
The Satanic Temple of Seattle (TST) said of its mission regarding the club:
While the twisted Evangelical teachings of The Good News Clubs robs children of the innocence and enjoyment of childhood, replacing them with a negative self image, preoccupation with sin, fear of Hell, and aversion to critical thinking, After School Satan Clubs incorporate games, projects, and thinking exercises that help children understand how we know what we know about our world and our universe.
The Satanic Temple bills itself as an atheist group under the guise of Satanism for the sake of some kind of weird protest art against Christianity, saying they believe in "science and reason" over faith. "Activism is the truest form of belief," they maintain -- if you call provocative stunts activism.
As reported by ChurchMilitant: "Members of the Detroit chapter conducted publicity stuntsinvolving the sacrilegious use of Catholic imagery and belief, especially on Good Friday, when they mocked the Crucifixion of Christ. In Detroit in July 2015, the group unveiled a seven-foot high bronze statue of the demon Baphomet."
Several parents associated with the school have expressed concern over the club's approval. One local pastor stated, "We want to cut this off and defeat it before it ever gets a chance to take root." Another pastor commented, "We are the taxpayers here and we ought to stand up and let them know they are not welcome, they don't pay taxes here."
Jose Delgado, whose daughter attends the school, said, "There is nothing positive about a Satanic Club. Satan is Satan. I'm upset because we didn't even have a say in this. All of a sudden we're going to have this club."
