The Next Victim of Francis?

Enemies of Life: Pope Francis' support for the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals poses an immediate threat to the lives of children born and unborn according to the prestigious initiative Voice of the Family. The goals contain a global anti-life and anti-family agenda and push for abortion, contraception and indoctrination of the children with a sex-ideology.

The Next Victim of Francis? The blog Anonimi della Croce writes that the days of Cardinal Müller as prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith are counted. According to the blog, Müller is exposed to mobbing even inside his own congregation. Possible successors of Müller are the to ultra-radical Cardinals Schönborn of Vienna or Rodriguez Maradiaga of Honduras.

Shunning the Gospel: Sandro Magister noticed that Pope Francis avoids those Gospel passages that forbid divorce. On October 2015, the Sunday when the final session of the Synod on the Family began, one of these passages was read in the liturgy. At the Angelus, Francis avoided any reference to it, in spite of its extraordinary pertinence to the questions discussed at the synod. The same happened on February 12, with another similar passage from the Gospel of Matthew read at Mass in all the churches. Again no word about this gospel at the Angelus.

Betrayal of the Faith: Six Syrian Orthodox metropolitan bishops have accused their head, Libanon based Patriarch Ignace Aphrem II of betrayal of the faith. The reason: The Patriarch referred to the founder of Islam as "prophet" Mohamed and during an interreligious meeting he lifted up the Quran as a sign of respect. However, a few days later, the critics of the patriarch were forced to retract.
