What is it that Jesus wants from Me that I am not giving

My heart never stops loving and not for a moment does My heart stop craving love in return. I crave love from you, My dear apostle. You love Me, I know. You serve Me with steadiness, I know. ‘What is it that Jesus wants from Me that I am not giving’, you ask. I will tell you. I want you to show Me that you understand My love for you by trusting Me. I am hurt when you do not trust Me. Look at your time of service. Would you agree that I have provided you with everything you need to see to your part in My plan? Would you agree that I have given you consolation when you were afraid? Have I not guided you when you were unsure? What have I withheld from you? You are growing in holiness and I am answering your prayers for your loved ones with heavenly prudence and steadiness. 
The part you are called to play in My plan is important and I need your service but I would never ask you to serve to the detriment of your holiness. If you are not increasing in holiness, My dear apostle, it is because you are not allowing Me to direct you. Perhaps you are increasing but not as quickly as you would like. That is another matter altogether. It is for Me to decide how quickly to advance you. It is for you to cooperate. I am speaking today so that I can urge you forward. My apostles must be willing to benefit from the guidance I am sending. You must sit in silence with Me each day, asking Me where you can improve in holiness. 
What habits are you holding on to that you need to relinquish? 
What new habits should replace them? Apostles, it is not to stand still that you are called, but to move forward in holiness. This advance is necessary for these times or I would not be calling you to it so seriously. I am looking for you to change. I want you to grow. Many of you are saintly now, walking closely with Me in each day. I rejoice in you, it is true. You know that I do. And yet, I allow you to remain on earth, to work, yes, but also to become even holier. One of the ways you can become holy in a short time is by trusting Me in everything. A small child does not worry about one meal shortly after she has been fed another. She trusts her parents to provide for her, particularly if she has never gone hungry. You, dear apostles, have never been without My providence so there is no reason for you to fear. You can trust Me. I have proved this to you many times. I desire that you serve in joy and confidence and only through trusting Me will that be possible. Return My great love for you by trusting Me in everything.

Imitate the first disciples and pray for boldness…

Acts 4:29-31 And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’ When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.
“My children, imitate the first disciples and pray for boldness. Pray also for courage and fortitude. The Holy Spirit waits to be asked for a new infilling of these gifts, which you received in a measure at your Confirmation. Do not be afraid. I mean to work new wonders in this age, that all may believe. Yet happy are you who have not seen, and yet believe. Your faithfulness will be counted in your favor. Children, in your boldness do not forget kindness and humility. 

Imitate our Mother who always spoke the truth with kindness, gentleness, and abject humility, pointing always toward God and never to herself. That is why there is so little about her in Scripture. Yet I am making her more well-known to this generation because her merits, virtues, and perfections deserve to be emulated. Be bold like your Mother, who did not let fear keep her from the foot of the cross.”

St. Catherine of Siena: Saint of the Eucharist

“For the seven year period prior to her death, Saint Catherine of Siena took no food into her body other than the Eucharist. Her fasting did not affect her energy, however. She maintained a very active life during those seven years. As a matter of fact, most of her great accomplishments occurred during that period. Not only did her fasting not cause her to lose energy, but became a source of extraordinary strength, she becoming stronger in the afternoon, after having received our Lord in His Eucharist.
It was Catherine’s tremendous love of Jesus in the Eucharist that allowed her to go out to the poor and especially the very ill and to minister to them as she did.  Wasn’t this the Eucharistic spirituality that Mother Teresa of Calcutta lived out, too — so that she could pick up the dying from the gutters of the slums, carry them to one of her clinics and care for them until they either got better or died with dignity?  Love and devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist does that. They took very seriously the words of Jesus in Matthew 25: “Whatever you do to the least of my brethren you do unto me” (v. 40).
In The Dialog of St. Catherine of Siena Jesus tells her two things about love of neighbor:
“They love their neighbors with the same love with which they love me” — Dialog 60
“The soul, as soon as she comes to know Me, reaches out to love her neighbors” — Dialog 89
But it was the very heart of Christ that touched Catherine most deeply.  Catherine had a very powerful devotion to the Heart of Jesus — the wound in His side.  She used to long to spiritually drink of the graces that flowed freely from His side as a child suckled milk from its mother and she used this imagery as a wellspring to nourish and increase her devotion to him.
In her book The Secret of the Heart (A Theological Study of Catherine of Siena’s Teaching on the Heart of Jesus) author Sr. Mary Jeremiah, O.P. says, “Although Catherine of Siena lived in the 14th century she is still very relevant today”. Catherine herself once wrote a letter to a religious stating that the heart of Christ is “an open storehouse, full of spices with a wealth of mercy which bestows Grace” (p. 97).
We are called to live out our Baptism to love others with the heart of Christ who himself said “Love one another as I have loved you” (Jn 13:34-35).  It is not enough to love others with a warm fuzzy kind of love but as He has loved us — that is, he loved us unconditionally and unto death. To love them is not just to have feelings for them.  Catherine and all of the great saints took this command of Christ to go forth and to dofor others, often at the risk of their lives.  When Catherine volunteered at the local hospital to care for a woman named Tecca who was suffering from leprosy, Catherine’s mother Lapa had great concern that she, too, would catch the hideous disease.
Indeed Catherine’s hands did develop leprosy but love for this woman (who often had an ungrateful heart for Catherine’s care) did not stop the virgin from caring for her.  When at last the woman died, Catherine herself washed and dressed the disease-ridden body, prepared it for burial, placed it tenderly in a casket, said the prayers and covered the casket with her own hands.  Whereupon, Catherine’s hands were miraculously cured and her hands appeared as more youthful than they had been.  Such is the love and faith in God that the great saints had.
Our love for Jesus in others, too, is what brings us to Heaven.  The Eucharistic Prayer II of the Liturgy implores God to bring us to “the fullness of charity” for that is where heaven is.  St. Paul urges us in his Letter to the Romans (12:1) to “offer your bodies as a living sacrifice”. It is what St. Catherine did when she cried out in prayer: “O Eternal God, accept the sacrifice of my life for the Mystical Body of Thy Holy Church.” For indeed we who are baptized “are the true Israel which springs from Christ, for we are carved out of His heart as from a rock” according to St. Justin Martyr (d. 165) in his Dialog With Trypho the Jew.
The graces of our baptism must be nourished as often as possible with the Holy Eucharist — True Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, along with frequent reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and time spent in Holy Adoration contemplating the one who has loved us so.  We are called to bring hope to those among us whom society considers as spiritual lepers — not only by way of our words but in our deeds as well.
Let us rise, then and “be on our way” (Jn 14:31); let us “rise from our slumber” (Rm. 13:11) to do all the good we can to those whom the world despises and who “count for nothing” (1 Cor. 1: 27). Let us pray for the intercession of this great saint, Catherine of Siena who found more joy in ministering to the poor than in all of the heavenly ecstasies, visions, miracles and other mystical phenomena that Jesus was pleased to bestow on her. Let us show our love of Jesus and ask him to use us according to his mind and purpose for the poor and those who have hurt us.

God's Astonishing Reversals

"God Love You!  I want these to be my first words of greeting to you as they will be the concluding words on each broadcast. "God Love You" means God is love; God loves you; and you ought to love God in return.

Why is it that so few realize the seriousness of our present crisis?  Partly because men do not want to believe their own times are wicked, partly because it involves too much self-accusation and principally because they have no standards outside of themselves to measure their times.  Only those who live by faith really know what is happening in the world.  Well may Our Savior say to us what He said to the Saducees and Pharisees in His time: “When it is evening,you say: It will be fair weather, for the sky is red. And in the morning: Today there will be a storm, for the sky is red and lowering. You know then how to discern the face of the sky: and can you not know the signs of the times?”.

Do we know the signs of our times?  They point to two inescapable truths, the first of which is that we have come to the end of the post – Renaissance Chapter of history which made man the measure of all things.  The three basic dogmas of the modern world are dissolving before our very eyes.  First, we are witnessing the liquidation of the economic man, or the assumption that man who is a highly developed animal has no other function in life than to produce and acquire wealth, and then like the cattle in the pastures, be filled with years and die. 

Secondly, we are witnessing the liquidation of the idea of the natural goodness of man who has no need of a God to give Him rights, or a Redeemer to salvage him from guilt, because progress is automatic thanks to science, education, and evolution, which will one day make man a kind of a god.  We are witnessing also the liquidation of rationalism, or the idea that the purpose of human reason is not to discover the meaning and goal of life, namely the salvation of a soul, but to devise new technical advances to make on this earth a city of man to displace the city of God. 

 It may very well be that Historical Liberalism is only a transitional era in history between a civilization which once was Christian and one which will be definitely anti-Christian.  The second great truth to which the signs of the times portend is that we are definitely at the end of a non-religious era of civilization, by that I mean one which regarded religion as an addendum to life, a pious extra, a morale-builder for the individual but of no social relevance, and God is a silent partner whose name was used by the firm to give respectability but who had nothing to say about how the business should be run.  In the new era into which we are entering is what might be called the religious phase of human history.  Do not misunderstand me; by religious we do not mean that men will turn  to God, but rather that the indifference to the absolute which characterized the liberal phase of civilization will be succeeded by a passion for an absolute.  

From now on the struggle will be not for the colonies and national rights, but for the souls of men.   The battle lines are being clearly drawn and the basic issues are no longer in doubt.  From now on men will divide themselves into two religions understood again as surrender to an absolute.  The conflict of the future is between an absolute who is the God-Man and an absolute which is the man-god; between the God Who became man and the man who makes himself god; between brothers in Christ and comrades in anti-Christ.

But, the anti-Christ will not be so called, otherwise he would have no followers.  He will wear no red tights, nor vomit sulphur, nor carry a spear nor wave an arrowed tail as the Mephistopheles in Faust.  Nowhere in Sacred Scripture do we find warrant for the popular myth of the devil as a buffoon who is dressed like the first “red.” Rather, is he described as a fallen angel, as “the Prince of this world” whose business it is to tell us that there is no other world.  His logic is simple: if there is no heaven there is no hell; if there is no hell, there is no sin; if there is no sin, there is no judge, and if there is no judgement then evil is good and good is evil.  But above all these descriptions, Our Lord tells us that he will be so much like Himself, that he would deceive even the elect – and certainly no devil we have ever seen in picture books could deceive  the elect.  How will he come in this new age to win followers to his religion?  He will come disguised as the Great Humanitarian; he will talk peace, prosperity and plenty not as means to lead us to God, but as ends in themselves.   He will write books on the new idea of God to suit the way people live; induce faith in astrology so as to make not the will but the stars  responsible for our sins; he will explain guilt  away psychologically as repressed sex, make men shrink in shame if their fellowmen say they are not broadminded and liberal; he will identify tolerance with  indifference to right and wrong; he will foster more divorces under the disguise that another partner is “vital”; he will increase love for love and decrease love for person; he will invoke religion to destroy religion; he will even speak of Christ and say  that he was the greatest man who ever lived; his mission he will say will be to liberate men from the servitude of superstition and Fascism: which he will never define.  

But, in the midst of all his seeming love for humanity and his glib talk of freedom and equality, he will have one great secret which he will tell to no one; he will not believe in God.  Because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect.  He will set up a counter Church which will be the ape of the Church because, he the devil, is the ape of God.  It will be the mystical body of the anti-Christ that will in all externals resemble the church as the mystical body of Christ.  In desperate need for God, he will induce modern man in his loneliness and frustration to hunger more and more for membership in his community that will give man enlargement of purpose without any need of personal amendment and without the admission of personal guilt. These are days in which the devil has been given a particularly long rope.  (missing audio: For we must never forget that Our Lord said to Judas and his band: “This is your hour.”  God has His day, but evil has its) hour when the shepherd shall be struck and the sheep dispersed.  

Has the Church made the preparations for just such a dark night in the decree of the Holy Father outlining the conditions on which a Papal Election may now be held outside of the city of Rome?  Men who know history have seen these dark days coming.  As far back as 1842, 105 years ago, Heine the German poet wrote: "Communism, though little discussed now and loitering in hidden garrets on miserable straw pallets, is the dark hero destined for a great, if temporary, role in the modern tragedy…Wild, gloomy times are roaring toward us, and the prophet wishing to write a new apocalypse would have to invent entirely new beasts – beasts so terrible that St. John’s older animals would be like gentle doves and cupids in comparison. The gods are veiling their faces in pity on the children of men, their long-time charges.  The future smells of Russian leather, blood, godlessness, and many whippings.  And, I should advise our grandchildren to be born  with very thick skins on their backs.”  That in 1842.

Well indeed may we be warned.  For the first time in history our age has witnessed the persecution of the Old Testament by the Nazis and the persecution of the New Testament by the Communists.  Anyone who has anything to do with God is hated today, whether his vocation was to announce His Divine Son, Jesus Christ, as did the Jew, or to follow Him as the Christian.  Because the signs of our times point to a struggle between absolutes we may expect the future to be a time of trial for two reasons:

Firstly, to stop disintegration.  Godlessness would go on and on and on if there were no catastrophes.  What death is to an individual, that catastrophe is to an evil civilization: the interruption life and for the civilization the interruption of its Godlessness.  Why did God station an angel with a flaming sword at the Garden of Paradise after the Fall, if it was not to prevent our first parents from entering again and eating of the Tree of Life, which, if they ate they would have immortalized their guilt.  And, God will not allow unrighteousness to become eternal.  He permits revolution disintegration, chaos, to come as reminders that our thinking has been wrong, our dreams have been unholy.  Moral truth is vindicated by the ruin that follows when it has been repudiated.  The chaos of our times is the strongest negative argument that could ever be advanced for Christianity.  Catastrophe reveals the evil is self-defeating and that we cannot turn from God as we have without hurting ourselves.

The second reason why a crisis must come is in order to prevent a false identification of the Church and the world.  Our Lord intended that those who were His followers should be different in spirit from those who were not.  But, this line of demarcation has been  blotted out.  Instead of black and white, there is only a blur.  Mediocrity and compromise characterize the lives of many Christians.  They read the same novels as modern pagans, educate their children in the same godless way, listen to the same commentators who have no other standard than judging today by yesterday, and tomorrow by today, allow pagan practices to creep into family life, such as divorce and remarriage; there are not wanting, so-called Catholic labor leaders recommending Communists for Congress, or Catholic writers who accept presidencies in Communist front organizations to instill totalitarian ideas into movies.  There's no longer the conflict and opposition which ought to characterize us.  We are influencing the world less than the world influences us.  There is no apartness.  We who were sent out to establish a center of health have caught the disease, and therefore have lost the power to heal.  And, since the gold is mixed with an alloy, the entirety must be thrust into the furnace that the dross may be burned away.  The value of the trial will be to set us apart.  Evil catastrophe must come to reject us, to despise us, to hate us, to persecute us, and then, then we shall we define our loyalties, affirm our fidelity and state on  whose side we stand.  Our quantity indeed will decrease, but our quality will increase.  It is not for the Church that we fear, but for the world.  We tremble not that God may be dethroned but that barbarism may reign.

And three practical suggestions then for the times as Christians realize that a moment of crisis is not a time of despair, but of opportunity.  We were born in crisis, in defeat – the Crucifixion.  And, once we recognize that we are under Divine Wrath, we become eligible for Divine Mercy.  The very disciplines of God create hope.  The thief on the right came to God by a crucifixion.  And secondly Catholics ought to stir up their Faith, hang a crucifix in their home, remind them that they have a cross to carry; gather your family together every night to recite the rosary; go to daily Mass; make the Holy Hour daily in the Presence of our Eucharistic Lord and particularly in parishes where pastors are conscious of the world's need and therefore conduct services of reparation.  

And, finally, Jews, Protestants, Catholics, Americans, all of us, must realize that the world is summoning us to heroic efforts at spiritualization.  It is not a unity of religion we plead for that is impossible when purchased at the cost of the unity of truth, but a unity of religious people, wherein each marches separately according to the light of his conscience, but strikes together for the moral betterment of the world.  The forces of evil are united;  the forces of good are divided.  We may not be able to meet in the same pew – would to God we did – but we can meet on our knees.  You may be sure that no sordid compromises nor carrying of waters on both shoulders will see you through.  Those who have the faith had better keep in the state of grace and those who have neither had better find out what they mean, for in the coming age there will be only one way to stop your trembling knees, and that will be to get down on them and pray.

Pray to Michael, Michael the Prince of the morning, who conquered Lucifer who would make himself a god.   When the world once cracked because of a sneer in heaven, he rose up and dragged down from the seven heavens the pride that would look down on the Most High.

And, pray too, pray to Our Lady, and say to her "It was to thee who was given the power to crush the head of the serpent who lied to men that they would be like unto gods.  And mayest thou who didst find Christ when He was lost for three days, find Him again for our world who has lost Him.  Give to the senile incontinence of our verbiage the Word.  And as thou didst form the Word in thy womb, form Him in our own hearts.  Lady of the Blue of Heaven, in these dark days light our lamps.  Give back to us the Light of the World that a Light may Shine even in these days of darkness.

God love you."

This morning when I was praying. Almighty Father appeared to me and He spoke, “My daughter, I come to tell you that all the prophecies are being fulfilled now. You are living in them.” Then He said, “Things will get worse day by day. Economy falling, recession, poverty, which has already hit many places in the world and natural disasters which will completely devastate places and ruin them with fire and too much water. Earthquakes and other disasters will devastate many countries. Humanity will suffer so much. There will be no stability in the world, but people do not want to know and do not want to believe and recognise that this all comes from God. Pray my children, pray for your salvation and also pray for others to be forgiven through your prayers. Always have hope and trust in Your Eternal Farther. Call out every day to Me Abba, Father, have pity and mercy on us and on the whole world.”

He then continued, “My daughter I will come to you and instruct you before the Final Event. I love you my child, be courageous, proclaim My Word to people. Do not be afraid, I am always with you. Tell all my children to pray unceasingly now. The time is short. I love you all children and I bless you in My name. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. AMEN.”

I replied, “Thank you my Father, Abba, I too love You and pray that all your children on earth will love You too. Have mercy on us all.”

Mass is the most powerful above everything

Blessed Mother came to me while I was praying. She said, “My Son gives each a different teaching and different gifts. For instance, you Valentina are very compassionate towards people and your prayers are very sincere and this pleases my Son very much. When you talk to people you open yourself so beautifully, you explain the word of God so clearly and when you praise my Son, you make Him so happy.” The Blessed Mother was looking at me and she too was very joyful.

The I asked, “Blessed Mother, when is your Son Lord Jesus coming? Look at the suffering of the people here on earth. They are pleading and calling to Him. When will He do something about all this suffering?” She replied, “My Son hears your calls and knows all about your suffering, but God allows all these things to happen, like sickness and different suffering, for the sins committed.

 Every house and family on this planet is living in sin. Pray my children, pray everyday, pray in-groups, go to Mass, pray together in the Churches. Pray for priests, they need so much prayer everyday. Join together and pray for the world. 

Encourage one another to go to Mass. Mass is the most powerful above everything and the atonement for sin against God. For instance if you offer a Mass for a person’s conversion, or for a different intention like healing etc, at the moment that my Son is truly present on the alter during the Mass, the sins just fall off that person, both on the left and the right side. You my children do not know the value of the Mass. Try to encourage one another to go to Mass, if you can, on a daily basis. In is dirt that stains your soul, I compare it to when you wash your dishes and when you finish you let the water out. But the stain remains all around until you wash I with soap. Sin is the same. Until you confess the stain is there in your soul.”

Then she said, “My Son is coming very soon to heal you all. He will come to heal your bodies and your souls.” I answered, “Thank you Blessed Mother for explaining these things and teaching us.”


Churches Should Be Beautiful Because Ugly Churches Are Bad for Our Souls

Is beauty really “in the eye of the beholder”?
No, objective beauty exists, and we should make churches beautiful, says Brian Holdsworth in his most recent video (watch it below!).
One of his arguments for the objectivity of beauty is the fact that beauty is one of the three classical transcendentals (truth, goodness, and beauty) which find their basis in God. In other words, God is beauty itself, which means beauty is as objectively real as God is.
The buildings we design to focus our attention on God should reflect his beauty. And not just because it would be nice, but because God can use that to reveal himself to us. […] This is something that for large parts Christian history we did understand.”
The modern art movement intentionally cast off the “old traditions of civilization, including religion,” says Holdsworth, and “transformed art into something that is self-gratifying, confusing, relativistic, and often utilitarian. […] This points back to this idea that we are the masters of beauty; that we define what beauty is.”
As a result, modern art “definitely doesn’t belong in the spaces we set aside to encounter God.”
Christians, he concludes, should “commission Christian designers who will allow the Holy Spirit to create beautiful buildings that people will want to visit generations from now, whether they’re Christian or not, instead of these modernist misfortunes that nobody will want to step foot in 30 years after they go out of fashion.”

Children should be forced to learn about Islam (Church of England)

The Church of England has called for parents to lose the right to withdraw their children from religious education classes – because some parents are apparently using it to pull their children out of lessons on Islam.
This shocking encroachment upon the rights of parents is being justified by the Church of England’s essentially accusing parents of being ignorant for trying to deny their children exposure to “other faiths” and “world views.” Nonsense. Never before has there been any controversy about parents not wanting their children exposed to “other faiths” until Islamic supremacists burst into Western society with their full-fledged war on infidels and ambitions to conquer the “House of War,” not to mention the routine cursing of Christians and Jews during Friday prayers and the condemnation of the accursed people (Jews) and the astray people (Christians) during the daily repetitions of the Fatiha. Parents have every right to be concerned about the Islamic indoctrination of their children and to fight for their rights against what amounts to a “fatwa” by the Church of England.
Derek Holloway, the head of RE in the Church of England’s education office, has called for that right to be removed from parents and for their children to be taught other world religions regardless of the parents’ views
In America, Islamic indoctrination has also become a worrying issue. The Christian Action Networkstated on its website:
The United States Department of Education has developed an Islamic indoctrination program for public schools called, ‘Access Islam.’ The lesson plans are written for grades 5 through 12. They include worksheets and videos to help students perform the 5 Pillars of Islam – prayer, fasting, alms giving, pilgrimage to Mecca and the proclamation of Muslim faith.
In Canada, Islamic indoctrination has also concerned parents, with unvetted sermons allowed by the Peel District School Board.

The Church of England has called for parents to lose the right to withdraw their children from religious education classes – because some parents are apparently using it to pull their children out of lessons on Islam.
Currently parents can choose for their children not to take part in religious education (RE) lessons, and can do so without giving a reason.
But Derek Holloway, the head of RE in the Church of England’s education office, has called for that right to be removed from parents and for their children to be taught other world religions regardless of the parents’ views.
“Seemingly [some parents] do not want their children exposed to other faiths and world views, in particular Islam. We are concerned that this is denying those pupils the opportunity to develop the skills they need to live well together as adults,” he told The Times.
He added: “Anecdotally, there have also been some cases in different parts of the country of parents with fundamentalist religious beliefs also taking a similar course. This is not confined to any one particular religion or area of the country.”
In a blog post on the Church of England’s Facebook page, he insisted that children should be taught about all religions to prepare them for life as global citizens.
“Religions are global in their reach and are global in their organization. The UK is part of a global community and so the time is now right to consider the RE curriculum content balance in global terms rather than in terms of parochial English census data,” he wrote.
The Church of England runs approximately 4,700 schools, of which around 200 are secondary or middle schools. The Church is, therefore, responsible for educating around a million children each year.
However, although Government guidelines stipulate that religious education must reflect that “the religious traditions of Great Britain are in the main Christian”, they continue that it must take “account of the teaching and practices of the other principal religions”.
In his blog, Mr. Holloway supported this principle, writing: “Church schools are not ‘Faith schools for the faithful, they are church schools serving the community’. Therefore, we do not seek to deliver a Religious Education (RE) curriculum suitable only for those from Christian backgrounds but a Religious Education that is an essential component of an education that enables all the pupils we serve from all faiths and none to flourish and be prepared for life in modern Britain.
He added: “The right of withdrawal from RE now gives comfort to those who are breaking the law and seeking to incite religious hatred.”
However, Mr. Holloways’ blog has raised concerns from parents over state interference. Martin Earnest commented: “This is an appalling proposal and crosses the line too far of church interfering in the State and privacy of conscience.
“I will be pulling my child from RE to avoid religious indoctrination via the State.”
Another reader, Eric Norton, accused the church of hypocrisy, taking issue with Mr. Holloways assertion that church schools are not faith schools….”

This Rapper’s Plans Were Turned Upside Down When God Called Him to the Priesthood

This guy is amazing!
Jihoon Kim used to go by the rapper name Exflosive and thought he wanted to a professional rapper and music producer. So he was surprised when he first felt God calling him to the priesthood.
“I thought that I was unworthy to be called to priestly vocation,” Kim told ChurchPOP, “and I was scared to accept his calling. However, through a series of prayers and discernments, I was affirmed about my priestly vocation.”
Since entering seminary for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, he says he’s found true joy and is filled with a deep sense of gratitude.
Which actually brought him back to rap. At seminary, he felt called to share how grateful he is to God with a new song titled “Thank You.”
As you watch it, one thing that comes through particularly strong is the sense thathe really believes what he’s rapping, that God really has touched his life in a deep and serious way.

Hungary Completes Second Anti-Migrant Fence

“Hungary is defending its border, and the Schengen zone at the same time,” Karoly Kontrat, an interior ministry state secretary, told a press conference in Roszke beside the fence on Hungary’s southern frontier.
More than 400,000 migrants passed through Hungary in 2015 before a first fence was built and a deal between the European Union and Turkey and other measures dramatically slowed down the influx.
But Budapest says that the new two-metre (6.5-foot) high fence, an external border of Europe’s Schengen zone, is to prepare for an expected increase in numbers later this year and a possible breakdown of the EU-Turkey accord.
Kontrat also said the bloc had failed to set up hotspots for asylum-seekers in Libya or turn back boats carrying migrants headed for Europe from Africa.
The fence, made of NATO-standard welded wire, was erected by 700 prisoners.
Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in a radio interview Friday that the strengthened border fence system would “ensure Hungary’s security for a long time”.
Orban, who has called immigration “poison” and a “Trojan horse of terrorism”, has been criticised by Brussels and rights groups in Hungary and abroad for his tough anti-migrant line.
A law enabling the automatic detention of all asylum-seekers entering the country in “transit-zone” camps — people can leave only if they return to Serbia — comprising shipping containers came into force last month.
Separately this week the EU launched legal action against Hungary over legislation that critics say targets the Central European University in Budapest, a highly respected postgraduate university founded by billionaire George Soros.
Orban on Friday called the Hungarian-born Soros, 86, who funds myriad non-governmental organisations throughout the region, a “public enemy” seeking to undermine Europe by promoting immigration.

We celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13th. On this day in 1917, Our Lady made her first appearance to three shepherd children, Jacinta (age 7), Francisco (age 9) and Lucia (age 10), at Fatima in Portugal. She appeared to them once a month from May through October. The lives of the three children of Fatima were entirely transformed by the heavenly apparitions. While fulfilling the duties of their state with the greatest fidelity, those children seemed now to live only for prayer and sacrifice, which they offered in a spirit of reparation to obtain peace and the conversion of sinners. They deprived themselves of water during the periods of great heat; they gave their lunch to poor children; they wore around their waists thick cords that even drew blood; they abstained from innocent pleasures and urged one another to the practice of prayer and penance with an ardor comparable to that of the great saints.
A Sure Means of Salvation
Our Lady communicated with Lucia, the oldest of the three children, in her six monthly appearances. She asked the Blessed Virgin Mary to take them to Heaven. “Yes,” Our Lady answered, “I will take Jacinta and Francisco soon. You, however, are to stay here a longer time. Jesus wants to use you to make me known and loved. He wants to establish the devotion to my Immaculate Heart in the world. I promise salvation to those who embrace it and their souls will be loved by God as flowers placed by myself to adorn His throne”.
There are three principal practices of devotion which Our Lady has requested in honor of her Immaculate Heart: the First Saturday of the month, the Five First Saturdays, and the Consecration of Russia. They bear a marked similarity to the devotions in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The practice of the First Saturdays – It consists of the following exercises, performed with the intention of consoling the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and making reparation to it for all the outrages and blasphemies of which it is the object on the part of ungrateful Christians: 1. the Rosary; 2. Communion of Reparation.
The practice of the Five First Saturdays – In addition to the two exercises already mentioned, the following two are added on the first Saturday of five consecutive months: 3. go to confession; 4. keep the company of the Immaculate Heart of Mary by meditating for a quarter of an hour on the mysteries of the Rosary. These two must be offered in reparation to the Immaculate Heart . The meditation may be on one or several mysteries.
Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary – Our Lady asked that Russia be consecrated to her Immaculate Heart and Lucia, one of the seers, has explained that Our Lady wants the Pope and all the bishops of the world to do this on one special day. If this is done She will convert Russia and there will be peace . . .

St Catherine of Siena

The Heavenly Baker: A story

In the time when Saint Catherine of Siena walked the streets of her quaint medieval town, she sometimes stayed at the house of a widow-friend, Alessia, to avoid the distractions of her noisy home.
One year, there was a famine, and most people were obliged to buy long stored wheat. The bread made from this wheat had a sour after-taste. But as the new harvest came in, and there was fresh wheat to buy, Alessia remarked to St. Catherine:
“Mother, this old wheat makes sour bread, so as the Lord has had pity on us, I will throw away the little that I still have.”
“You wish to throw away what the Lord has given us for our food?” replied Catherine, “at least give it to those who don’t even have that.”
“O, I feel guilty giving from the old wheat…I’d rather give from the new, fresh batch,” remonstrated Alessia.

Saint Catherine then asked that she give her the flour and some water, for she wished to make bread for the poor of Our Lord.
As Catherine worked, not only did she produce an astounding number of loaves from so little flour, but turned them out so fast that Alessia and her maid couldn’t believe their eyes.
Served at table, everyone was amazed how delicious and sweet these loaves were. “We haven’t tasted better!” they exclaimed. 
Moreover, when taken out to the poor and to the Friars, the bin kept giving without emptying.
Sometime later, on hearing of this miracle, St. Catherine’s confessor, Blessed Raymond of Capua, sensed that there was something “more” to this story, and pressed his spiritual child to tell him all.

So Catherine explained that as she had approached the flour box, she had seen the sweet Lady Mary standing there with several angels and saints graciously offering to help her make the bread.  So Mary Most Holy began to work the dough with Catherine, and by virtue of those immaculate hands not only was the wheat made sweet, but the number of loaves multiplied. 
“The Madonna herself gave me the loaves as she made them,” related Catherine, “and I passed them onto Alessia and her maid.”

“No wonder,” writes Blessed Raymond in his biography of Saint Catherine, “that that bread seemed so sweet , since it was made by the perfect hands of the holy queen, in whose most sacred body, the Trinity made the Bread that came down from heaven to give life to all unbelievers.”
And the same writer asserts that years after in Siena, people still treasured pieces of this blessed bread as relics.
