Archbishop Against General of Jesuits

“The devil and evil are constants at work in human history and in the struggles of every human soul”, writes Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput on June 5th in a column on catholicphilly.com.

Chaput criticizes, that “some of our own Catholic leaders, who should know better”, are using the word “devil” as a symbol. He was obviously referring to the ultra-liberal Superior General of the Jesuits, Fr Arturo Sosa, who said last week, "We have made symbolic figures, like the devil, to express evil."
