Dutch "Gay Bishop" Backtracks

Bishop Gerard de Korte (60) of ’s Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, will not host a gay-ecumenical celebration in his cathedral on June 24th as as he had promised. The event was planned as the opening of a Gay Pride march. A turmoil among his priests and parishes forced Korte to backtrack. The gay event has now been transferred to a Protestant church. Father Geertjan van Rossem, the administrator of the Cathedral, will be one of the presiders, but Korte will not attend.
