On July 9 brave Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Springfield, Illinois, explained on ct.dio.org his decree which reiterates that people in gay pseudo-marriages cannot receive Holy Communion. Paprocki explains that the decree is “totally consistent with Catholic teaching”.
“The fact that there would be such an outcry against this decree is quite astounding and shows how strong the LGBT lobby is both in the secular world as well as within the Church”, Paprocki added.
