John Paul II had a vision about Islam according to Opus Dei Monsignor Mauro Longhi, 68, a former official in the Congregation for Clergy. From 1985 to 1995 Longhi used to accompany John Paul II during his holiday in Abruzzo. Longhi is convinced that John Paul II was a visionary.
In a video published by Eventi per Famiglie Longhi says that in March 1993 John Paul II told him about a vision: “I see the Church of the third millennium afflicted by a deadly wound called Islam. They will invade Europe. I saw hordes coming from West to East, from Morocco to Libya, from Egypt to countries of the orient.”
