Hungarian daily Magyar Hirlap interviewed Austrian identitarian leader Martin Sellner about his campaign against the UN Global Compact for Migration.
According to the right-wing activist, his campaign – in which he managed to collect tens thousands of signatures and conducted a successful poster campaign – “was the first big success of the patriotic civil society in Western Europe”.
He pointed out that back in last September, nobody knew about the Compact, but two months later, when he was running the campaign in German-speaking countries, “the majority of Austrians and Germans knew about it and rejected it”.
He also spoke about the new campaign of the Austrian Generation Identity (IBÖ), which they launched after the activists of the movement were acquitted from all charges by the court of Graz.
According to Sellner, patriotic activists are still afraid to speak their mind about immigration and Islamisation in Austria.
