Marco Tosatti published a photo of a shop in the Piazza di Spagna, a very exclusive part of the centre of Rome.
The shop uses a monstrance to advertise a Gris Dior Esprit de Parfum, an 80ml bottle that costs around 400 euros.
This use is not surprising, as since the liturgical reform, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has virtually disappeared.
As
a result, tens of thousands of monstrances are gathering dust in the
sacristies. Many have simply been given to secondhand dealers to be used
for various purposes by the sons and daughters of this world.
This is the real face of the "liturgical reform".
