Francis' newly appointed preacher to the Pontifical Household, Capuchin
Father Roberto Pasolini, is a homosexual activist, reports
InformazioneCattolica.it (12 November).
A former Communist,
Father Pasolini holds a doctorate from the Jesuit Pontifical Gregorian
University and is a professor of biblical exegesis at the Theological
Faculty of Northern Italy in his native Milan.
On 2 February
2024, Father Pasolini spoke in Varese on "Homosexuality and the
Christian life" (video below). He condemned St Paul's condemnation of
homosexual acts because they are defined "without too much discernment
as acts that tend to be negative".
St Paul was thinking "of
orgies" but "not of groups of homosexual Christians in search". Fr
Pasolini asks if there is "any form of approval of homosexual relations
in Scripture" and his answer is "not simply no".
He projects
homosexuality into the friendship between David and Jonathan and between
the centurion of Capernaum and his sick servant.
Father Pasolini justifies these homosexual fantasies by saying that "nothing forbids us to think it and to imagine it".
For
him, "it is legitimate" to imagine homosexuality for the centurion: "If
that were so, who would Jesus have praised the most?"
According to those who know him well, Pasolini is full of himself, a careerist, snobbish, know-it-all and arrogant.
