Why would we want the whole world if we lost Jesus?

Let us never fall into the aberration of telling Jesus to stay away from our lives because, by manifesting ourselves as Christians, we might lose a public office, a job, or suffer a material loss of any kind. On the contrary, we must often say to the Lord, with the words that the priest pronounces in secret before Communion at Holy Mass: fac me tuis semper inhaerere mandatis, et a te numquam separari permittas: make me always fulfill your commands and do not allow me ever to be separated from you. It is better to be with Christ without anything, than to be without Him and have all the treasures of the world together. "The Church knows well that God alone, whom she serves, responds to the deepest aspirations of the human heart, which is never fully satisfied with human elements alone.

"Today, in addition to imprisonment, concentration camps or forced labor, expulsion from one's own country, other less conspicuous but more subtle penalties have been added: no longer a bloody death, but a kind of civil death; not only segregation in a prison or in a camp, but permanent restriction of personal freedom or social discrimination (...) "6 Will we be capable of losing, if necessary, our honor or fortune, in exchange for remaining with God?

Following Jesus is not compatible with everything. We must choose, and renounce everything that is an impediment to being with Him. For this, we must have deeply rooted in our souls a clear disposition of horror of sin, asking the Lord and his Mother to remove from us everything that separates us from Him: "Mother, deliver your children - each and every one of us - from every stain, from everything that separates us from God, even if we have to suffer, even if it costs us our lives.
