The Holy Gospels are a unique reading for the good of souls. In them, Christ Jesus touched on all subjects, and in them are found all the remedies for any kind of question.
Every Christian should read the Holy Gospel, and even know it almost by heart, but behold, there are thousands and thousands of Christians who do not even know what that Sacred Book is. The Christian who has spent his life without reading even a paragraph of the Holy Gospels will be asked to account for it, because it is a sin of omission not to feed his own soul with spiritual goods, and to leave it emaciated through negligence and mediocrity. I, the Divine Spirit, speak to you.
And just as if a person stopped feeding their body, they would be guilty of the evils that would befall them, so it is with the things of the soul, and whoever does not feed their own soul with holy readings, especially the Holy Scriptures, will be guilty before God's judgment, for they wasted their life. For if a person reads the Holy Scriptures, I, the Holy Spirit, would give him My grace and My light so that he might understand and change his disposition toward God, to the detriment of the things of the world. For if a soul were to read the Gospel or the Holy Scriptures, a radical change could take place in his life, and he could be converted from a sinful being into a spiritual being who fulfills the laws of God. See, then, what a great responsibility it is not to give the soul its nourishment.
But food for the soul consists not only of reading, but also of prayer, because prayer helps us to understand heavenly things and those of God. But if a person never prays, they will not understand beyond what they were taught as a child or what the world teaches them about the things of God, for they see with the eyes of the world and not with the eyes of the soul. I, the Spirit of God, speak to you.
It is the responsibility of each person to build their own house on firm and lasting rock, and the Holy Gospel is the best rock a soul can use in building their own house, and that house will not be destroyed by gales (worldly criteria that are prevalent in our society) or floods (lawful pleasures that must be enjoyed in moderation) or droughts (trials) or anything else, because it is a house built according to the Word of God and His Wisdom. I, the Divine Spirit, speak to you. Whoever wants to understand, let them understand and put into practice what is communicated to them. The peace of God be with men of good will.
