German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser advised her citizens to keep a food reserve in case of a crisis situation. "When in fact the power fails for a longer time or daily life is otherwise restricted, then in any case it is reasonable to have a reserve [of food] for an emergency," she said during an interview with Handelsblatt, published last Sunday. .


The minister indicated, in this context, that the list was drawn up by the Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief. According to the document in question, each person needs for 10 days:


20 liters of drinks

3.5 kilograms of cereals, bread, potatoes, pasta and rice

4 kilograms of vegetables and legumes

2.5 kilograms of fruits and nuts

2.6 kilograms of milk and/or dairy products

1.5 kilograms of meat, fish, eggs or whole egg powder

357 grams of fats and oil

Other foods according to the taste of each person
