Cdl. Turkson: Holy Father or Holy Spirit?

Curia Cardinal Peter Turkson was Francis's delegate to the so-called World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

Davos is a historically Protestant town. On 18 January, he presided over a Eucharist in the local Catholic church to empty pews. In Switzerland, the Church is kept artificially alive by church tax.

The Eucharist was broadcast by the Catholic channel K.TV.

The cardinal greeted the congregation in German with a Freudian slip of the tongue: "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father and the communion of the Holy Father be with you always."

After the Gospel, the local parish priest, who was co-presiding at the Eucharist, read Francis' message to the WEF, a boring, secularised, incompetent and moralising blah blah blah.

At the end of the Eucharist, the parish-priest reported on the presence at the WEF of Munich's Cardinal Marx. Marx is a leading anti-Church activist in Germany and a former member of Francis's Council of Cardinals.
