How humility is the little plant. Humility without confidence is false virtue.
(1) After having spent some days of privation and tears, I was all confused and annihilated in myself, in my interior I was saying continuously: "Tell me, oh my Good, why have you gone away from me, why have I offended you that you do not let yourself be seen anymore, and if you show yourself it is almost in shadow and in silence? Ah, do not make me wait and wait, my heart cannot wait any more!
(2) Finally Jesus has shown Himself a little clearer, and seeing me so annihilated He has said to me:
(3) "If you only knew how much I love humility! Humility is the smallest plant that can be found, but its branches are so high that they reach up to Heaven, they are around my throne and penetrate into my heart. The small plant is humility, the branches that this plant produces is trust, so you cannot give true humility without trust. Humility without confidence is false virtue."
(4) From the words of my Jesus it is seen that my heart was not only annihilated, but also a little discouraged.
