Shameful Treatment
Arecibo Bishop Daniel Fernández Torres whom Francis removed March 8 because he had many seminarians, and his parishes were flourishing, wrote a canonical brief which PillarCatholic.com (June 1) saw. Highlights.
• Fernández was never officially informed about the reasons for his removal.
• He “has been reaching out every week, through the Secretariat of State, through the papal household, through anywhere that he can try to get a meeting.” No reply.
• He asks Francis to observe the 2016 norms (Come una madre amorevole) regarding the penal trial of a bishop.
• He was never charged, verbally or in writing, with a delict by any superior authority, and nothing was put in writing, evidently, because there are no legitimate reasons.
• Fernández declined to sign a joint statement with the Puerto Rico bishops on a “moral duty” to be Covid injected – the super-dogma of Francis.
• Fernández’ main enemy is San Juan Archbishop González Nieves, an injection apologist.
• Naive Fernández still “truly believes that if he can talk to Francis, he can clear up any misunderstandings.”
