Francis Appoints Madrid Archbishop
As predicted, Francis has named Madrid Auxiliary Bishop José Cobo, 57, to succeed Madrid Cardinal Osoro, 78.
InfoVaticana.com explains that Francis is determined "to dismantle the great archdiocese of intellectual profiles, as he recently did with Buenos Aires."
Cobo has never produced anything of any intellectual significance. Last week, Madrid's Archdiocese staged a homosex event which provoked a huge backlash from clergy and faithful because "Spain is not Germany"
