The priest has fun at the funeral

Novus Ordo: or how to trivialize a sacrament

Father Frankie Mulgrew followed a funeral procession of cars on July 11 by sprinkling holy water from an aspergillum while riding pillion on a motorbike driven by a masked youth, according to ManchesterEveningNews.co.uk.

Mulgrew is a parish priest in Salford, England, and the son of a comedian. A spokesman of Salford Diocese had to explain that "the way this [Novus Ordo] blessing took place is not what we would expect from a member of our clergy.”

Salford Bishop John Arnold has had words with Mulgrew.
