In south-eastern France, the bishops of the ecclesiastical region of
Marseille met to discuss the issue of the ideological colonisation of
their seminarians who are "too Catholic" for them.
Their
contingent of seminarians is the largest in France, thanks to the
seminarians of La Castille, the diocesan seminary of the diocese of
Fréjus-Toulon.
However, these seminarians entered under Monsignor
Dominique Rey who since has been de facto removed. Since Francis
imposed a coadjutor, Mgr Touvet, admissions to the seminary have dried
up.
The bishops want to brainwash the seminarians by making them
study in 'Catholic' institutes, in this case the Pôle Théologie et
Sciences religieuses, which belongs to the Université 'Catholique' de
Lyon (UCLy).
According to Monsignor Christian Delarbre, the
Archbishop of Aix, this place "combines the most advanced teaching in
Catholic theology with practical training that responds to the realities
of the Church and society". In reality, it is only lowbrow, heterodox
and theologically decadent.
Something similar is happening in
Paris, where Monsignor Laurent Ulrich is targeting Cardinal Lustiger's
two neo-conservative creations, the Paris Seminary and the École
Notre-Dame.
The Paris Seminary is spread over several hostels in
the capital. It was created to take Parisian seminarians away from the
decadent regional seminary in Issy-les-Moulineaux. But now there are
plans to merge the two.
The alumni of the two seminaries, which
over time have all become more Catholic, and of the university seminary
of Carmes, which is part of the Institut 'Catholique', would all become
students of the Institut 'Catholique' de Paris, which remains a
theologically decadent institution.
All this will continue to discourage vocations for the diocesan priesthood.
According
to PaixLiturgique.fr (26 September), those seminarians who remain will
be more and more Catholic, with cassocks hidden in their bedrooms,
reading Catholic websites on the Internet and attending Holy Mass at
Saint-Nicolas-du-Chardonnet (PiusX) or Saint-Roch (Roman Rite) during
their holidays.
