(...) After all, the Pope is not an end in himself and unity with him is not a Catholic fetish. His office serves only to unite the Church with Christ, and it is for this reason alone that unity with the Pope is important in general.
Since Francis, however, this unity is no longer possible, because he himself is no longer in (full) unity with Christ.
We all know that this is so, even if hardly anyone says so. Perhaps this is something like the "omertà" in a Catholic version; the "omertà", as we know, is the "law of silence" that no one breaks in the mafia.
But if we were silent here, "the stones would cry out" (Lk 19:40): Christ did not bless adulterous or homosexual relations! Francis, on the other hand, authorizes all this in a heretical and blasphemous manner. Moreover, he insistently denies the only salvation of humanity through Jesus Christ and affirms that all religions can lead to God.
According to this, Christ would only be one option among many, despite the fact that He Himself says the opposite: "No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
If it were up to Francis, we could all be Muslims or Hindus instead of Christians; Christ's sacrifice would have been superfluous and the martyrs would have shed their blood in vain.
If the Pope is the guarantor of the Church's unity with Christ, then Francis has put himself completely out of the picture after all this.
Whether he remains pope or can remain pope under these circumstances should be decided by others, but they comfortably retreat behind the law of omertà.
In any case, Francis has only gathered around him loyal vassals; when it comes to making appointments, he systematically only takes into account those who have attracted attention for their heretical positions.
This also speaks plain language and gives the Pope a damning witness: Francis is disintegrating the Church from within and transforming it into his own personal client system.
As simple Catholics we cannot change this, but we must ask ourselves a crucial question: what does all this mean for our unity with Christ and the Church, and especially with the current Pope? One thing is clear: if we were to adopt the questionable views of this pope, we would be sinning against Christ and the Church, and - Francis or no Francis - we must not do so under any circumstances. Wherever Francis goes against Christ we must not follow him, and please: we don't have to! Everyone knows this too, but no one says it, and there it is again: the law of omertà.
But please do not misunderstand me here: I would never say that Francis is the "antichrist" (as some claim), but he is certainly an "antichrist", when he sometimes teaches the opposite of Christ.
There is no doubt that Francis has deeply divided the Church and has dealt the papacy its most serious blow. Therefore, it is high time to break the law of the "Catholic" omertà, for Christ, for the Church and for the (next) Pope.
