The big lie: Francis and his "Synod"

by Fr. Joachim Heimerl von Heimthal

You may have been surprised when Francis first declared that "synodality" is part of the nature of the Church. After all, to this day no one knows what this term is associated with, and it appears nowhere in the history of the Church.

When Francis then convened the biennial "Synod on Synodality," he was perhaps even more surprised, and probably also by its results, which are now available in the final document.

But what is behind all this or what is, according to Goethe, "the crux of the matter"?

In short, what Francis calls "synodality" is nothing but a complex system of lies, and the "synod on synodality" was itself a lie: it was not a "synod of bishops" because a quarter of the participants were not bishops, but lay people.

Moreover, no "synod of bishops" has any authority whatsoever, regardless of whether one wants to attribute it to the "Holy Spirit" or to the "sense of faith of the faithful." This is even less true since Francis strategically occupied the synod; the results were clear from the beginning.

Such a 'synod' is only one thing: it is a fraudulent label of the Pope, and shows, scandalously, how Francis naturally uses lies.

Ultimately, this 'synod of bishops' was something akin to a super-lie, which is why we call it "papal lie number 1" in our context.

Papal lie number 2," on the other hand, was that Francis always emphasized that "synodality" was not a political but a genuinely "spiritual" process.

That a pope can prescribe "spiritual processes" is, of course, doubtful, because even a council would not consider itself a "spiritual process."

However, his final document showed that the "world synod" was not a "spiritual" process, but a purely political one: the results of the individual votes are listed point by point and decisions are made by majority vote.

Needless to say, this is a purely political and not a spiritual method, and this also applies to the fact that one cannot vote on the Church and the faith. This is certainly not the case if one takes into account that in the history of the Church it was not uncommon for minorities to hold to the revealed faith, for example at the time of Arianism.

"Papal lie number 3," on the other hand, is more difficult to understand because it refers to what Francis often calls "discernment"

In his view, this "distinction" is constitutive of "synodal" processes. As always, it is not clear what the Pope means by "distinction." What is clear, however, is that at the end of the "synod" he himself renounced any comprehensible form of distinction and, in short, declared that the majority results of the synod are part of the pontifical magisterium.

But by doing so he has given the "synod" an authority that it does not have and that no pope will ever be able to attribute to it. For even if it had been a true "synod of bishops," it would have had at most a consultative (!) character, and not even the pope himself could change that. He cannot cede or simply share with third parties the authority he has received from Christ.

In other words: Francis has replaced the papal magisterium with a new magisterium that does not really exist and that is reflected in the voting results of a pseudo-synod of bishops. In this sense, the conclusion of the "synod" was a historic step, and"papal lie number 3" turned out to be an act of papal arbitrariness and a betrayal of his own office.

However, because of the systematic nature of the lie, the Pope has put himself in a precarious position: many statements in the final document of the "synod" are incompatible with the Catholic faith.

They testify to how quickly Catholicism has evaporated and how Francis supports it. To put it a bit more rudely, one could even speak of a heretical "synod" and a "heretical pope," something more and more Catholics are openly doing.

This heretical dimension becomes more evident when the synod speaks of itself in the final document and thus creates an understanding of the Church that remains purely horizontal, intra-mundane and communitarian.

While, on the other hand, according to Catholic doctrine, the Church is the universal sacrament of salvation, here the "synodal" union is approached as "sacramental" and finds a serious parallel with the "celebration of the Eucharist" (cf. no. 27). It is even argued that the Spirit of God acts in the "synod" in the same way as in the Holy Mass, which, on the contrary, is understood only as a Protestant community. Sin and grace play no role here, the sacrifice of the cross and redemption are not even mentioned.

To be clear: there is no trace of the Catholic faith here, and if "synodality" is anything, then it is Luther's final triumph over the Church.

Francis is solely responsible for all this by establishing a 'magisterium' of lies and heresies, and not for the first time. The goal of this 'magisterium' is clear: Francis and his people want to establish a new Church that is no longer the Church of Christ and no longer in the succession of the apostles.

This is most evident in the question of the so-called "consecration of women".

In the final document, the "Synod" and Francis affirm that the ordination of "deacons" is an "open" question.

But, like so many other things, this is also a lie, because the apostles only laid hands on men, and the Church has been rightly committed to this apostolic tradition over the centuries.

That is why there have never been validly ordained "deaconesses", and it would have been up to the Pope to clarify this definitively, at the latest at the end of the synod.

But this is exactly what Francis chose not to do and instead approved the blatant lie of his "synod".

The apparently "open" question will have to be clarified later by the experts, but this maneuver also hides another lie: the faith of the Church is never what individual experts think it is, but only what the Church as a whole believes, what has been believed and practiced for centuries. And this means that, according to apostolic practice, only men can be ordained.

Francis and his "Synod" are far removed from these clear truths of faith. Lies never lead to the truth and never to Jesus Christ, who said clearly before Pilate: "He who is of the truth hears my voice" (John 18:37). -

On the other hand, we prefer not to listen to the voice of Francis and his synod. Synodal lies lead us away from Christ and His Church. Recall: just before the 'Synod', Francis himself denied the one salvation by Christ, and with that, ALL was said about him and his 'Synod'.
