The more wicked, the more they progress

Robert McElroy was installed on Tuesday as the eighth archbishop of Washington, D.C.

Some Catholic media claimed that the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception "was full".

However, Robert Nugent posted a picture taken at 1:56 p.m. during the reading of the apostolic mandate. This picture shows the basilica half empty.

The faithful were told to arrive and be seated by 1 p.m., and the entrance procession began at 1:30 p.m.

Examples of McElroy's Anti-Catholic Ideology

Robert McElroy has a record of promoting homosexual sin and aborting children.

He regularly presided over homosexual-propaganda Eucharists in his former diocese of San Diego.

In 2016, he called it a "destructive language" to call homosexual acts intrinsically evil.

Three weeks before the 2020 presidential election, he defended Joe Biden against critics of his anti-life positions, claiming that it was "offensive" to question Biden's 'Catholic' identity.

Also in 2020, he downplayed the gravely sinful nature of contraception, claiming that "it is a far greater moral evil for our country to abandon the [anti-life] Paris Climate Accord than to provide contraception in federal health centers."

The homosexual activist claimed in a 2021 essay that it would be "tremendously destructive" to ban anti-life politicians like Biden from Holy Communion.

In 2023, Cardinal McElroy called for the "radical inclusion" of adulterers and handing out to them Holy Communion.

Also in 2023, he called for homosexual activists to be included in "full participation in the life of the Church," even though they remain in mortal sin:

"The distinction between orientation and activity cannot be the principal focus for such a pastoral embrace because it inevitably suggests dividing the LGBT community into those who refrain from sexual activity and those who do not," he wrote.

He is an advocate for invalid female priests: "The call for the admission of women to priestly orders as an act of justice and a service to the church was voiced in virtually every region of our world church," he lied in 2023.

In an address 2024 at the University of San Diego, Robert McElroy said that "climate change" and "the degradation of the earth are the most important global moral challenge that we face at this moment in our history."
