The passive purifications that I, Spirit of God, make in souls are necessary. Every building must be kept in good condition and must be restored from time to time, even if the building is solid and in perfect condition. For if a building is not restored from time to time, it would lose its beauty with the passing of time and its contemplation would become monotonous and boring. I, the Spirit of God, speak to you.
Every work of art must also be restored with the passing of time in order to bring out more of its original beauty. Thus children of God, I, the inner Master and Restorer of souls, also restore you from time to time with passive purifications, so that the beauty of your soul and of your virtues may be manifested even more.
You should not be frightened or worried when the trial knocks at your door, because My Divine Providence, disposes in you the best to help you grow in holiness, in virtue and in the three sovereign virtues of faith, hope and charity.
The soul that has been living in the grace of God for a long time and avoids sin permanently, is a beautiful spiritual building and is solidly built.
But so that God's gaze may be more and better recreated in this spiritual edifice, I, the interior Master of souls, purify the soul that already lives in God's grace with little trials or darkness, not as a punishment, but as a restoration (renewal) of what it already is, but which must be restored in order to see more and better its virtues and its true love for God, which is in the trials where it can be seen the most. I, the Spirit of God, speak to you.
If the weeds were not removed from a garden, they would hide part of the beauty of its flowers; therefore, the same thing happens in the soul. I remove these attachments, even to the life of piety, so that the soul may walk detached from everything, for and by God, and not even be attached to the pious acts that it normally practices.
This, children of God, is very difficult for you to understand because you see only the material and do not see your spirit, but when your spirit flies away from the body to the heavenly dwellings, you will see with the eyes of the soul how necessary the trials are in the spiritual life, to keep the spiritual building that is your soul beautiful. I, Spirit of God, speak to you and instruct you.
