"We all miss you, Chuxi. If you can hear us, please open your eyes," said one of his classmates in the recording.

In China, an eight-year-old boy who was in a coma regained consciousness thanks to a heartwarming video recorded by his classmates, local media report.
After a traffic accident last November, Liu Chuxi, a resident of Hunan province, suffered severe brain damage and lung injuries, and according to doctors, the chances of him waking up were minimal.
However, the boy's mother did not give up hope. In one of the many hospitals she visited, a doctor explained that familiar sounds and favorite music can stimulate certain areas of the brain and, hopefully, help a person wake up.
So, the woman compiled the music her son listened to when he woke up for school and during his morning exercises, as well as recordings of his math lessons. In addition, the boy's teacher recorded a video with messages from his classmates addressed to him. "We all miss you, Chuxi. If you can hear us, please open your eyes. Exams are coming up, and we're waiting to study with you," a girl said in one of the videos.
Every day, Chuxi's mother played the recordings hoping for a reaction. Finally, the effort paid off. After 45 days in a coma, the boy moved his eyelids, then smiled, and finally regained consciousness on day 55.
