Sandro Magister (January 11) claims that late Cardinal Pell was the author of an anonymous 15 March 2022 memo called Demos that was critical of Francis.
It was circulated among the cardinals in anticipation of a future conclave and referred to Francis' confusion over homosexuality and the priesthood, his persecution of Catholics and nuns, and his treatment of Christ as a deity in Hindu pantheism.
A memorandum concerning Francis, signed by "Demos" (Greek for "People") and circulating among the cardinals was published March 15 by Sandro Magister who suggests that Demos is a cardinal. The text assesses that among all factions Francis' pontificate is considered a "disaster in many or most respects.” Crucial points:
• Francis, instead of being a source of unity, is a cause for confusion who keeps silent while the German bishops push for homosexuality, priestesses, and adulterer’s Communion.
• Francis keeps silent while Cardinal Hollerich proposes a heretical sexual immorality.
• Francis is not silent when persecuting Catholics and contemplative nuns.
• Christ is replaced with a concept of divinity like in Hindu panentheism.
• Francis turned the Roman Institute for the Family into an institution supporting assisted suicide and abortion.
• Francis disrespects the law, in the Becciu case he changed it four times to help the prosecution.
• Francis dismisses good employees without good reason, and produces a yearly deficit of around € 20-30 million.
• Francis' political influence is negligible.
• Francis has little support among seminarians and young priests, and there is a “wide-spread disaffiliation" in his Curia.
• Francis has weakened the College of Cardinals with eccentric nominations; the cardinals don't know each other which causes an unpredictability at the next conclave.
• Synodal gatherings around the world consume time and money threatening to reduce the Church into a loose federation of groups holding different views like in Anglicanism or Protestantism.
