Fired for criticizing Bergoglio

Francis Promotes Incompetence

Francis appointed Maria Teresa Romano, a laywoman, as the new Chancellor of the Roman Diocese on July 24. The main aim of this appointment is to eliminate Monsignor Giuseppe Angelo Maria Tonello, the current chancellor, and a competent canonist, writes SilereNonPossum (July 24).

Tonello is guilty of “lèse-majesté” for criticising the Apostolic Constitution with which Francis took direct control of the Roman diocese, but without being willing to do the work that needs to be done.

Tonello who served the diocese for 27 years was given two lines in a communiqué.
