Jonathan was hospitalized due to complications from a prolonged kidney disorder, just one week before graduating from university. Facing a cardiac arrest, and surrounded by his family, the young man briefly woke from the coma. Although weak and barely able to hold a pen, he wrote on a piece of paper what he wanted to communicate: "Jesus is real."

Jonathan's father, Joel Sia, recounted that he witnessed something supernatural moments before the doctors called the code blue (medical emergency). According to Joel, his wife saw a bright light and a hand holding Jonathan's, who at that moment was visibly smiling. "I believe he saw Jesus," the father affirmed when sharing the message on social media.

Friends and family described Jonathan as a young man with a deep love for God since childhood, dedicated to prayer, supporting his friends, and serving his family. Despite his young age, he was a counselor among his peers, a distinguished student, and an example of faith, even during his hospital stay, where he shared the Gospel with doctors and nurses.

After writing the message, Jonathan died shortly afterward, despite medical reanimation attempts that were unsuccessful. The fact that his last conscious act was to write about Jesus brought comfort to his loved ones, who saw in that phrase a blessed guarantee that Christ's promises are true.

A family friend assured that Jonathan's testimony is a personal call from God to everyone: "He is real. Paradise is real. And hell is also real [...] While we still have time, we need to settle our accounts with the Creator. He is a holy and loving God who invites us to live in union with Christ for the rest of our lives."

Jonathan's case reminds us of the central teaching of the Christian faith: death is not the end for those who trust in Jesus. His life, short but full of faithfulness, becomes a testimony of preparation for eternity and the importance of living each day "ready to meet the Savior."

For many, Jonathan's story is a reminder of the reality of heaven, the presence of Christ, and the urgency of embracing faith before it's too late. His parents and friends mourn his departure but find comfort in the certainty that Jonathan now sees face to face the One he served and proclaimed in life.

This testimony transcends tragedy and becomes a seed of faith for all who hear it. His final message, simple but profound, leaves a mark emphasizing that "whoever believes in Jesus, even if he dies, will live."
