Homosexual "Stations of the Cross" in Austrian Churches: This Lent, an ecumenical project titled 'Queer Stations of the Cross' is touring Austrian churches. According to the organisers, the programme combines prayer, storytelling and artistic elements.
It replaces the Stations of the Cross of Christ with the wound-licking of homosexuals. Events are in Vienna (26 February 2026, Votivkirche – Catholic), Innsbruck (2–8 March, Pfarrkirche Mühlau – Catholic), Linz (12 March, Jugendkirche Grüner Anker – Catholic) and Graz (18 March, Christuskirche – Protestant).
