The Eucharist and the Holy Sacrifice
The center of the soul must always be God, and in the life of every Christian, the center must be the Eucharist.
However, a Mass heard poorly does not benefit the soul as much as it should, and thus many—very many—graces are lost. It is not enough simply to go to Mass; one must attend with the necessary dispositions:
With faith, principally regarding what is about to be celebrated.
With love toward the Holy and Expiatory Victim, who is Christ.
With modesty, not thinking of personal problems, but FOCUSED ON THE SACRED ACT that is to take place.
With fervor, without being distracted or looking from side to side.
With humility, knowing that no one deserves what they are about to receive, if they go to Communion.
With universality, knowing that the Mass will also benefit others.
"I am the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, who works within souls and moves them to do good."
The Role of the Priest
The Mass must also be celebrated by holy priests of irreproachable lives, who do not possess worldly spirits, but are dedicated to the interests of God and souls—priests of great apostolic zeal, humble and helpful, detached, and of living faith. A Mass said by such a priest reaches the Throne of God as an incomparable praise; a Mass celebrated by such a priest is the glory and joy of the Blessed Trinity and of Mary Immaculate.
The Eternal Value of the Mass
Masses are presented by the Angels to God for the benefit of souls and the Holy Mother Church. Their value is continuous, for they remain in the celestial annals forever. Just as a valuable painting is admired throughout the centuries, a Mass celebrated with the proper dispositions—both by the celebrant and the listener—endures in its effects forever through the passage of time.
The Masses of great saints, such as Saint Ambrose or Saint Thomas, who possessed a living faith and were loyal and faithful to the laws of God, are still providing benefits today. Just as the Passion of Christ still avails and will continue for all centuries to come, so too does a Mass celebrated and heard with the required dispositions last for centuries, because in Heaven, everything is "present."
It is difficult for you to understand these mysteries, but in divine matters, there are many mysteries you do not yet know, which will be revealed to you little by little
