(LifeSiteNews) — A Christian cell phone network that automatically blocks all pornographic, satanic, LGBT, and violent content launched Tuesday.
Radiant Mobile is the first-ever carrier to block harmful content at the network level, designed especially for children and teens but also for adults who wish to block pornographic content.
“We are going to create — and we think we have every right to do so — an environment that is Jesus-centric, that is void of pornography, void of LGBT, void of trans,” Radiant Mobile founder Paul Fisher told MIT Technology Review ahead of the carrier launch.
Radiant Mobile enforces hard blocks that cannot be disabled on pornography as well as on explicit games, satanic content, violent self-harm content, and other violent content pertaining to terrorism and bombs.
The service, which buys its bandwidth from T-Mobile, also turns on by default an LGBTQ content filter that can be manually turned off.
Other automatic filters that can be turned off by a parent block general sexuality content, sites promoting abortion, anorexia and bulimia content, piercings and tattoos, and glamour content. Optional filters that are designed to minimize distractions and may be turned on manually include options for games, shopping, chats and forums, various kinds of sports content, health and beauty content, astrology, and photo and video content.
The carrier also includes original Christian video and game content, such as an AI-generated saints and apostles’ series; kids’ Bible stories; miracle testimonials; daily devotionals; and Scripture-based games.
Radiant Mobile Chief Operating Officer Chris Klimis said he joined the company and its mission to “do something” about the pornography crisis, LGBTQ Nation reported. He pointed out that cell phone services open the door for children to explicit sexual content, even accidentally. He is also “appalled” by a recent survey indicating that 67% of pastors have a “personal history” with pornographic content.
Individual, couples, family, and “tribe” plans are available. Radiant Mobile’s website provides instructions to switch to its carrier.
