The entire Croatian national football team, led by the legendary player Luka Modrić, gathered for celebrating a Holy Mass in a chapel in Ičići, a Croatian town, days before flying to America to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Celebrating the Mass, the parish priest Mato Berišić greeted the team members and wished them success and good health. "Let us remember that we are putting upon ourselves the name of God who is love, who created us, who redeemed us, who never stops loving us”, the priest said in the homily reflecting on the Holy Trinity.
The team members also posed for a group photo along with the overjoyed parishioners.
