Now, funerals for Muslims

Worse than Germany: On 3 July, the body of an Iranian Muslim was brought to Sant'Anna parish in Turin for a ceremony led by the parish priest, Don Valter Danna.

The service included Christian prayers and the use of incense. Don Danna said it was not a Catholic funeral but rather a "prayer of farewell," explaining that the family had close ties to the parish.

He confirmed that the ceremony was intentionally distinguished from a Catholic funeral.
