In November 2017, the Vatican issued a special postage stamp with a face value of 1 euro to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation.
The design shows Jesus Christ crucified in the foreground, with the city of Wittenberg in the background.
Kneeling on either side of the cross are Martin Luther, holding the Bible, and Philip Melanchthon, holding the Augsburg Confession.
Approximately 120,000 copies of this stamp were printed by the Philatelic Office of the Holy See.
