The infinite value of the Mass

"Christ is at the same time Victim and High Priest. According to the spirit, indeed, He offers the victim to His Father; according to the flesh, He Himself is offered upon the altar of the Cross."

For this reason, every Mass has an infinite, immense value that we cannot fully comprehend: "it gladdens all the heavenly court, relieves the poor souls in purgatory, draws down upon earth all kinds of blessings, and gives more glory to God than all the sufferings of the martyrs together, the penances of all the saints, all the tears shed by them since the beginning of the world, and everything they may do until the end of time."

— Holy Curé of Ars (St. John Vianney)
