Angels surround the soul who prays the Hours of the Passion. These Hours are the sweet little sips that souls offer to Jesus.
**(1)** I was doing the Hours of the Passion, and the blessed Jesus said to me:
**(2)** "My daughter, during the course of my mortal Life, millions and millions of angels courted my Humanity and gathered everything I did—my steps, my works, my words, and even my sighs, my pains, the drops of my blood; in short, everything. They were angels assigned to my custody, to render me honor, obedient to my every sign; they descended and ascended from Heaven to bring everything I did to the Father.
Now these angels have a special office, and as the soul makes memory of my Life, of my Passion, of my blood, of my wounds, of my prayers, they gather around this soul and collect her words, her prayers, the condolences she offers Me, her tears, and her offerings. They unite them with Mine and bring them before my Majesty to renew for Me the glory of my own Life. So great is the delight of the angels that they stand reverently around to hear what the soul says and pray along with her. Therefore, with what attention and respect the soul ought to do these Hours, thinking that the angels hang upon her lips to repeat together with her whatever she says."
**(3)** Then He added: "Amidst so many bitternesses that creatures give Me, these Hours are the small, sweet sips that souls give Me. But in the face of so many bitter sips that I receive, the sweet ones are far too few. Therefore, more diffusion, more diffusion!"
