The priest doesn't like the word 'God'

Slovak pro-LGBT Catholic priest Adam Štefanec, 29, of the Diocese of Žilina said in an August 12 video that he does not like the word “God.”

Rev. Štefanec believes that the term had accumulated so many associations that it no longer speaks to people today.

“I try to find words that are universal,” he said, naming “humanity” as a universal value.

Asked what Christ wants from people, Rev. Štefanec said the answer is “different for everyone,” different in every age, and “constantly changing.” Previously, Rev. Štefanec has supported homosex civil partnerships and said that homosexuality is not a sin.
