Saint Gertrude says:
"While I was in a corner of the chapel where I used to go to pray, I was able to meet Our Lord, who told me:
'From there you have tried to extract honey and have only found thorns. From now on, dedicate yourself to meditating on my messages and there you will indeed find the true manna that will nourish you and give you strength and peace.'"
From that moment on, she, who had devoted so much study time to "worldly" material, left everything behind to dedicate herself solely to reading the Holy Bible and the writings of some saints.
Her life was apparently not very different from that of her companions in the convent, but internally it was completely different: she spoke with God! Honestly, I cannot imagine how incredible this must have been.
How can I pray the prayer for the souls in Purgatory?
Saint Gertrude's Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory
In fact, Saint Gertrude wrote five books containing all the messages she received in her revelations. Among them, Our Lord shared a prayer with her, promising that He would free 1,000 souls from Purgatory each time it was recited.
Isn't this a wonderful gift? I share it with you below:
"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen."
