Clerical sexual abuse accounts for just 0.2% of all child sexual abuse cases in Spain.

Jesús Sanz Montes of Oviedo told 'La Nueva España' on November 1 that
the media and politicians of using clerical abuse scandals as a “weapon
of mass distraction.”
He argued that Catholic priests are portrayed
as the only perpetrators of child sexual abuse, while the Church
accounts for just 0.2% of cases: “When you are preoccupied with the
0.2%, forgetting the 99.8%, [it is] so that you do not have to talk
about other matters that concern you and sometimes bring you before the
courts.”
