On June 16th Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, the president of the Pontifical Academy for Life,
whose truthfulness is under dispute, denied these rumours on catholicnewsagency.com: “I can confirm that there is no pontifical commission called to re-read or to re-interpret Humanae Vitae.”
But on June 26th the vaticanista Andrea Gagliarducci confirmed, that such a secret commission indeed exists. Only, it is not called a "pontifical commission" but a "study group". It will publish a paper on Humanae vitae.
The group is lead by Monsignor Gilfredo Marengo (62),
a relativist and supporter of Amoris Laetitia, and sponsored by Archbishop Paglia's Academy for Life.
