CatholicNewsAgency.com corroborates MessainLatino.it on Father Tait Schroeder's forced resignation as office manager at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.
Schroeder had been promoted at the CDF's Disciplinary Section on May 7 because of his strong record of handling abuse cases of the English language desk. But for Francis, ideology counts, not competence.
According to CatholicNewsAgency.com, Prefect Ladaria called Schroeder in, apologised, and hinted that the decision came "from above" [= Francis].
Schroeder had occasionally celebrated Mass for pilgrims in Rome, never after the July 2021 publication of the infamous Traditionis Custodes.
If Francis would promote good with the same determination with which he promotes evil, he would go down in history as a second Leo the Great.
