Salamanca Cathedral, Spain, is hosting an exhibition until December featuring a realistic sculpture of Christ's body based on the Shroud of Turin.
Using latex and silicone, artist Álvaro Blanco has created a volumetric and hyper-realistic replica of the crucified body. It is made of human hair, weighs 75 kilos and measures 1.78 metres.
Besides the statue, the exhibition also informs about the life of Christ and studies on the Holy Shroud.
