During a Eucharist attended by around 200 Catholics at the Holy Spirit Church in Hanau, Germany, steel balls were fired through several windows. According to the police, no one was seriously injured. The perpetrators are unknown. The damage is estimated at around €5,000. The police have stated that there is currently no indication that the attack was religiously motivated.
