The Vatican’s recent final report of the Synodal group on “emerging issues” [=homosexuality] drew criticism from 'Courage International'.
This group helps homosexuals to live according to the teachings of the Church. In a May 8 statement, 'Courage' said the Vatican's report had committed “both calumny and detraction against the organization and its members.”
Courage rejected claims that it engages in 'reparative therapy' and said that Synod officials could have clarified the matter by consulting its leadership rather than relying on one individual’s testimony.
The organisation also expressed sadness that such criticism had appeared in an official Vatican document rather than from secular critics.
