It is holy desires that rise to My Celestial Throne and overwhelm Me with a pleasant aroma; for before the stench of evil thoughts, of sin, and before so many desires for hatred and revenge, a holy desire is like a flower in the middle of a dunghill. I, Jesus, Your Savior, speak to you.
There are souls who, due to their limitations or the limitations that their daily life imposes on them, cannot perform great works as they would like; but those souls are burdened with holy and great desires—desires to do good to souls in every aspect. They desire to feed those who go hungry, they desire to evangelize in mission lands, they desire to be victims for the love of sinners, and so, many more great desires that are born from a heart that loves Me and honors Me, conforming itself holily to the life they lead. Those souls who will never see their desires become reality will have their reward in My Kingdom, because those holy desires that they cannot make real also have their prize, just as evil desires and thoughts—even if they are never carried out—have their punishment.
My children, souls who love Me immensely and would wish to employ yourselves in great undertakings, and yet, are small souls who will pass unnoticed in your surroundings: your great and holy desires to do good will lead you to a very great glory, where you will see that what you desired out of love for Me has so great a reward. For whoever desires from the heart to do good, and would do it if it were in their power, those souls have their reward for that good they desired to do and did not manage to do. I, Jesus, speak to you.
For this reason My servant Teresita (Little Therese), who desired so much to go to mission lands and could not do so, is honored as Patroness of the Missions for having desired it so much, and for what she offered in her daily life for the missions.
The holy desires of the heart are the fruit of My Holy Spirit, who inspires the soul that habitually lives in a state of grace; desires for God and for love of neighbor and their souls. They love all the souls of the world and desire immense goods for them, and by desiring those goods for them, sometimes I make their desires become reality, even though they, in this life, do not come to know it. I, Jesus, speak to you.
Souls who desire good for other souls in other parts of the world are souls who love universally, transcending earthly horizons, because for them there are no distances or barriers when it comes to (desiring) to do good to other souls. My children, live with great and holy universal desires, so that I, who can do all things, may convert those desires—fruits of the love of God and the action of My Holy Spirit—into works of love for My Mystical Body. I, Jesus, speak to you.
